East End Ecclesia is an innovative, multicultural, missional church plant starting in the East End of Pittsburgh.

Our mission statement is “Seeking to be what God intended”.

It is apparent that things are not the way they are supposed to be.

Our world is broken, our communities are broken, and we are broken. Injustice is everywhere.

We are left seeking an identity, trying to find value, meaning, and purpose. We are separated from each other and from our Creator. We live divided; separated by race, class, age, and culture.

This is not what was intended.

We believe God has entered our story. He has sent His Son, the Messiah, to set right what has gone wrong, to reconcile us back to God, to redeem all things back to Him.

To restore things back to how they were intended to be.

It is our desire to reflect God’s story of redemption in the city of Pittsburgh.

It is our desire to be the Church God intended, to reflect God’s Kingdom, the way things were intended to be, in the city of Pittsburgh.

It is our desire to go back to the scriptures to understand God’s will for His Church and look to the future as we seek to live out His eternal will in our modern context.
